Facebook ads can be a great way to garner leads and drive sales, but it’s important to go in with a plan. Today, I’m going to explain how real estate agents might advertise a listing on Facebook in three different ways.

1. Video ads

Videos are a great way to make an impact on Facebook, since you can convey a lot of information through what you show, as well as what you say. One way real estate agents can take advantage of video ads is by giving a virtual tour of one of their listings. Rather than just describing a listing and including a few pictures, you can take the potential buyer inside the property and show them firsthand. Make sure you include a link at the end of the video to a full listing page that has more details. That way, your client can take action on what they’ve just watched.

2. Image/Link ads

The goal of this type of ad is to grab people’s attention as they scroll through their Facebook feeds with either a compelling photo or hyperlink they just can’t help but click. Though not quite as dynamic as a video, these ads can be really effective, so long as they’re used properly. Agents might want to lead with their best photo of a listing, or possibly a link to the listing page itself. In either case, it’s important to set the post up with brief, but irresistible copy that really grabs the eye of potential buyers.

3. Carousel ads

A carousel ad is a very useful option, because it allows you to combine up to 10 different images and videos to give your leads a more comprehensive look at what you have to offer. Plus, you can even include a different link underneath each one. Carousel ads are especially effective for listings, because, instead of a single image, you can show several.
