ReminderMedia Donates over $4,000 in Food and Cash to Local Philabundance Food Bank This Holiday Season

For the second consecutive year, ReminderMedia organized a company-sponsored food drive in support of Philabundance, the largest hunger relief organization in the region.

With last year’s impressive donation nearing 1,000 pounds of food, the ReminderMedia team set out to double the weight with this year’s contribution. Employees collected nonperishable food items by the case load, mixing friendly competition with department teamwork to make sure the 2012 food drive was the best yet.

ReminderMedia is proud to have delivered 3,048 pounds of food for this year’s food drive—more than tripling the weight of last year’s contribution. Employee cash and food donations reached a total of $2,185.09, which ReminderMedia matched with an equal amount of cash and food for a total contribution of $4,370.18.

Philabundance was created in 1984 with the simple belief that no man, woman, or child should go hungry. With their growth and eventual integration with the Philadelphia Food Bank in 2005, Philabundance has taken a stronghold of the hunger issue in the Delaware Valley, implementing both emergency relief and also long-term strategies to strengthen the hunger safety net. For more than 25 years, they have acquired and distributed millions of pounds of food to neighbors in need throughout the region.

ReminderMedia encourages everyone to look toward Philabundance as an excellent way to make a difference in the community. Learn more about ways to get involved at www.philabundance.org.
