ReminderMedia Accepts the United States Marine Corps Commander’s Award for Toys for Tots Donation

ReminderMedia receives the Commander’s Award for its 2013 donation to the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots program.

Since 2010, ReminderMedia employees have continued to support this worthy cause by collecting toys to brighten the holidays of the community’s underprivileged children. From matchbox cars and Lego kits to coloring books and board games, the team donated a total of 41 brand new toys this year.

“Every year, there is a great sense of pride for both veterans and civilians alike to contribute to an honorary initiative like Toys for Tots,” describes Jestine Troutman, veteran and Director of Customer Service. “Here at ReminderMedia, we have many veterans on our team; collectively, we share a sense of commitment to the noble tradition. As a competitive small business, we are striving to exceed our contributions year after year.”

The United States Marine Corps recognized ReminderMedia’s outstanding support through a 2013 Commander’s Award plaque, which ReminderMedia plans on proudly displaying to remind employees of their impact on the lives of children in their community.

Toys for Tots was organized at the request of the United States Marine Corps in 1991 and continues to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of the holidays and to play an active role in the development of one of the nation’s most valuable resources—the children. While Toys for Tots coordinators organize and manage the campaigns, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local communities and the generous people who donate toys.
