If you’re sending the American Lifestyle digital edition, you know it’s full of educational and entertaining content that your recipients love. When you send your digital edition by text message, you can take that appreciation to a whole other level by using it to jump-start meaningful one-on-one conversations.

To get started, make sure you’re logged into your account interface. From there, you’re

going to click Digital Edition from the navigation menu on the left side of the page. Next, you’ll want to navigate to your most recent digital edition. If you don’t have a version set up yet, check out the link below to learn how.

Scroll down past your upcoming mailing until you see the cover of this month’s issue. If you want to send a past issue of your digital edition, you can always use the drop-down menu to select a different month. Click the cover of your digital edition, and you’ll be taken directly to the issue itself. This is where you’re going to grab the link for your digital edition. First, go to the address bar and highlight the URL, then click copy.

If you’re going to do this from your phone all you have to do is paste the link into any text message conversation. If not, don’t worry—you just have one extra step to complete first.

Start by heading over to your email inbox and creating a new message with yourself as the recipient. In the body of the email, paste the URL. Next, send the email. From there, you’ll just need to open that email on your phone, copy the URL, and paste it in your text message.

If you’re looking to send a particular article or recipe rather than the entire issue, all you have to do is navigate to that page in your digital edition, then follow the steps above. It’s honestly really that easy.

When you’re texting content from your digital edition, don’t forget to give your recipients a little preview of what you’re sending. Tell them why you think they’d enjoy it, and ask them to let you know what they think. Remember: you’re doing this to add value to their lives, and in turn, they’ll appreciate you and be more likely to remember your business.
