As an agent, you’ve probably heard countless times that you should be on Instagram. From networking to keeping in touch with clients, it’s obvious that the benefits are vast. But what exactly goes into managing a “winning” account?

We took it to the streets, and asked three influential agents with large followings the secrets behind their success.

“To have success with Instagram for real estate, I’ve found that consistency is key. I make it part of my daily schedule to get on Instagram and post, and engage with other people in the area as well as other agents. It’s an incredible way to get business and is totally free! I have gotten referrals, listings, and buyers from Instagram simply by putting out good content that people can relate to and showcases my passion for the business. It’s an incredible tool more agents should seriously utilize!”

“Think of your Instagram as a magazine, and make it visually stimulating. Feature not just homes, but area activities that highlight the best of your area, and make you look like an authority. But most of all—have fun, engage with your followers, and make it interactive. I believe that positive energy comes through.”

“You have to post consistently. People associate content posting with winning. If someone disappears, what do you automatically assume? Exactly. Post frequently, and remember that’s what winner’s do. The world wants to know about you, who you are, and what your passions are. They don’t want to see another average real estate robot. Take them along on your day, allow them to experience your journey, and hangout with you outside of ‘work.’ Lastly, be authentic! People who follow me know I’m anything but PC! That’s me, and that’s who I am. It doesn’t change for anyone. Learn to demonstrate that, and your following will explode!”

Like any other social media platform, finding success with Instagram won’t come overnight—be patient, yet persistent.
