Eco-conscious clients help make donation possible

For the past two months, ReminderMedia has encouraged all customers to take advantage of its Platinum program’s many green-inspired Tear Out Cards and Back Cover ads as a means of connecting with core clients over ecoconscious topics of interest. A portion of the proceeds from every magazine that printed ecothemed collateral was allocated to a donation for a green nonprofit. Thanks to the overwhelming interest of customers to share the go-green message this spring, ReminderMedia was able to proudly donate $1,007.60 to the Clean Air Council. This generous donation will strengthen the Clean Air Council’s work, allowing the organization to focus on issues that matter most like air quality, global warming, and public health.

The success of this campaign was especially relevant to our employees who participated in the Clean Air Council’s 5K race back in April. The race not only helped to unite coworkers around healthy lifestyle practices, but the guerrilla advertising along the route made runners aware of their carbon footprint, helping to solidify a connection with the Clean Air Council’s mission.

In keeping with the clean air theme, ReminderMedia employees also planted fresh herbs and vegetables around the office to improve air quality and promote healthy eating. Inspired by the article “Plants in the Tailgate: Truck Farm in New York City” in issue 57 of American Lifestyle magazine, the staff chose fun and unusual vessels to house their plants. Top favorite vessels included an Elvis Presley PEZ dispenser full of parsley as well as mint leaves growing out of a wooden shoe.

ReminderMedia thanks everyone who participated in this year’s go-green initiative, and hopes that the ecoconscious thinking will continue throughout the summer months.
