How to Cut Stress During the Workday

Just fifteen minutes and a few laps around the parking lot can make a world of difference. The combination of fresh air and exercise will enable you to head back inside and pick up the phone with a clear mind.

If you’re groggy, upbeat music can give you a much-needed boost of motivation and energy. On the contrary, if you’re stressed, slow tunes can provide you with an overwhelming sense of calmness. Whenever you find yourself in search of an instant mood booster, plug in your headphones for a few minutes.
  • Change your scenery.
    Your time is more than likely divided between making countless phone calls and sending numerous e-mails. The same setting day in and day out can do a number on your motivation and stress levels. Take a break from the monotony and change your working area. If you work in an office, consider walking and talking. Take a stroll around the sales floor the next time you’re on the phone. A different atmosphere can increase creativity and ease stress.

Although you can’t eradicate the stress factors that accompany a sales career, you can properly manage the ways that you cope. Alleviating personal stress will help you gain success and close more deals.
